Nicola holds a master’s in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Earth, Environment and Biodiversity at University of Milan. He has been visiting researcher at University of Bristol, UK, and postdoc researcher at IGFL, Université de Lyon, France. His main research interests are in biostratigraphy, palaeoecology, and evolution, particularly during global environmental crisis events. In 2020- 21 he did a science communication master at SISSA, Trieste, Italy, with a thesis on diversity and inclusion in European higher education institutional communication. He has experience in teaching and in writing scientific texts for different audiences. He joined ICONS in July 2021 and, as Communication and Dissemination Officer, he is currently involved in project management and communication activities of several EU-funded projects.
