Giacomo holds a Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Florence (Italy). After working in the United States in event organization, he obtained a specialization degree in Science Communication at SISSA (Italy) and had his internship at ENEL Foundation. Then he started collaborating with Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli for the LabExpo project, the scientific legacy of Expo Milano 2015. He then stayed in FGF for another two years as a science communication officer. After that, he joined back the Masters’ course in Science Communication at SISSA as the project manager for six years. During this period, he was also involved as project manager in other related activities, such as the Scienza e Virgola Festival and other projects and collaborations. Since ten years, he has been also a freelance science writer and, in 2023, he wrote a book on science diplomacy.
Giacomo joined ICONS in 2023 as Communication and dissemination senior officer for EU-funded programmes.
