About the Project
A positive energy city transformation framework that combines positive energy blocks with grid flexibility, e-mobility and innovative ICT technologies and citizen engagement strategies.
The project aims to help cities deliver positive energy districts (PEDs) while respecting their mixed urban settings that often include listed cultural heritage buildings. Two Lighthouse cities – Évora (PT), Alkmaar (NL) and six fellow cities – Bari (IT), Celje (SI), Granada (ES), Hvidovre (DK), Ioannina (GR), Újpest (HU) – are involved in the project.
A community of more than 1000 people built on social media in less than one year.
Our role
We are leaders of communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.
ICONS has also key roles in social innovation strategies, social acceptance assessment and clustering activities with other EU-funded Smart City projects.
