POCITYF shortlisted for the .eu Web Awards

For the 10th anniversary of the .eu Web Awards, the POCITYF website https://pocityf.eu, developed by ICONS, is a finalist in the Better World category.

This year EURid received over 863 nominations, from which 15 finalists from nine countries were selected. Together, they received an impressive total of 4,148 votes out of 8,085.

The .eu Web Awards is a prestigious award launched by EURid (European Registry for Internet Domains) in 2014 with the aim of recognising and rewarding the best .eu (including .ею or .ευ) websites in five categories (Leaders, Rising Stars, Better World, Laurels and House of .eu).

Pocityf.eu is the website of the European project POCITYF, whose aim is to help cities create positive energy districts (PEDs) while respecting their mixed urban settings, and which often includes heritage buildings. The website was developed by ICONS, which is leading the communication, dissemination and exploitation activities of the project and is also playing a key role in social innovation strategies, social acceptance assessment and clustering activities with other EU-funded smart city projects.

The five winners will receive the following prizes:

• €5,000 online marketing campaign organised together with an EURid appointed marketing agency.
• The Crystal .eu Award.
• Digital .eu, .ею or .ευ Web Awards icon to be used on websites and social media accounts.
