ICONS wins the Horizon Results Booster contract!

The “Horizon Results Booster” consortium led by META Group and including ICONS, Ecorys, Trust IT Srl, BDO Advisory CVBA, PNO Consultants (subcontractor) has won the 4-year European Commission contract worth €12 million called the “Common Support Service for Dissemination, Exploitation and Valorisation of Research Results”. 

The new service contract by DG Research aims to provide FP7 and H2020 EU-funded projects with the expert support needed to convert their research into user-ready results via effective dissemination and exploitation strategies.

Although Europe accounts for 20% of global research investment and produces one-third of all scientific publications, there is a limited capacity within Europe to convert scientific breakthroughs into usable results and industrial and commercial successes – the so-called European paradox. The Horizon Results Booster aims to buck this trend, by supporting researchers throughout Europe to unleash their innovative potential.

The consortium will mobilise more than 200 experts to guide the researchers and projects’ consortia to generate impacts on society, economy, environment and policymaking.

Over the next four years, ICONS will supply free of charge expert support to any EU funded project wishing to boost the dissemination and exploitation potential of their research results, via: 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 services – developing a portfolio of results and design an effective dissemination and exploitation strategy – and 𝗚𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 services to get their research ready for commercialization.
