For World Health Day ICONS launches its media campaign #EUResearch4Health
Press Release -
For the first time, ICONS’s projects will participate in the World Health Day with a joint social media campaign, involving CYMEDSEC, Flavivaccine, KitNewCare, PAIR and POINT.
As part of World Health Day on 7 April, various ICONS projects are joining their efforts to launch their first health-related social media campaign, with the hashtag #EUResearch4Health. The projects all contribute to health research at EU level and they are CYMEDSEC, Flavivaccine, KitNewCare, PAIR and POINT.
The 7 April marks the anniversary of the founding of World Health Organization in 1948 and from 1950, the date has officially become World Health Day. It is celebrated annually and draws attention to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world.
This year’s WHO campaign is titled: Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures. It urges governments and communities to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being.
From Monday 7 April and over the following days, the campaign will gather contributions from each project, stating how the research is supporting healthcare systems and #Health4All (the official hashtag of the WHO campaign). The ICONS campaign will be live on LinkedIn and BlueSky, tackling the engagement of the audience for the future of health.
