Sabina holds an MSc in Architectural Sciences from the University of Genoa. With over 15 years of experience as an innovation and EU consultant in the fields of technology, design, and media & democracy, she has worked internationally across public administrations, Innovation Hubs, and NGOs.
She led innovation initiatives within the public sector in Italy, notably at MUSE Science Museum, where she established one of the first Open Source Manufacturing Innovation Hubs within the public research sector. She also coordinated the European consortium FabLabNet, supporting the integration of open-source innovation into Regional Development Office agendas at the Central European level, and contributed to open innovation initiatives for smart city solutions for the Municipality of Milan.
Her expertise lies in end-to-end EU consulting and policy advisory work, with a focus on innovation policy, technology sovereignty, open and collaborative models, and cross-programme strategic planning for NGOs, universities, and SMEs across Central and Eastern Europe. She also co-held a professorship in Innovation Design at the Politecnico of Milano.
She lives in Germany and joined ICONS in 2025 as Grant Office officer.
